Teacher Elaine with Students in Hand Drawn Style

Elaine Khong is the founder of MathArchery, a boutique mathematics studio built on the principle that Math is a mind sport — one that demands precision, targeted consistent training, and mental stamina. Drawing inspiration from the intentionality of archery, she designed MathArchery as a learning dojo where students sharpen accuracy, strengthen thinking skills, and build confidence through structured practice. Elaine has lived the name “MathArchery” herself — shaped by her own journey in Math and by her role as a parent of a competitive archer.

Elaine’s professional training is in Computer Science, and her passion lies in Math, Logic, and Patterns. As a mother of two boys who have journeyed through the full Singapore education pathway, she has personally gone through two rounds of PSLE, GCE O-Level A and E Math, Integrated Programme (IP) Math, and GCE A-Level H2 Math. Studying alongside her sons and coaching them through every major Math exam, she has experienced Math in all its shades — from foundational concepts to abstract reasoning across multiple levels of rigour, including elements of Math in Physics, Chemistry, and Statistics.

These lived experiences gave her deep insight into the ups and downs of the Math journey, the ingredients for Math success, the anxieties students face, and the ambitions parents hold. Elaine has worked with both high-ability learners and students who need learning support. In guiding students across varied abilities, she developed a nuanced understanding of how different Math learners think, learn, and grow.
