HEADSTART PROGRAM (1)
ALGEBRA WORKSHOP
FOR SECONDARY 1 MATH (G3 / IP)
Algebra is like grammar in a language. Knowing the words is not enough — without grammar, sentences fall apart. In mathematics, algebraic manipulation ensures solutions are accurate, which is why these skills must be built early.
From Secondary 1, students learn to rearrange equations, simplify expressions, and apply methods correctly.
Strong algebra skills support learning in upper secondary topics like Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, and are also essential in Physics and Chemistry. Building these foundations early helps students reduce errors, gain confidence, and progress smoothly as academic demands increases.
By the end of this programme, students will have a clear understanding of core algebraic concepts, stronger manipulation skills, and the confidence to approach Secondary 1 mathematics with clarity and control.
