About us
At MathArchery, we get it. Math is tough, and not every child “just gets it” right away. With Singapore’s competitive education system, it’s normal to feel concerned when your child struggles in math, especially with the fast-paced curriculum in MOE schools. We understand the challenges—distractions in class, concepts that fly by too quickly, and the pressure to keep up.
We built MathArchery around three essential qualities that we believe top students embody: Accuracy, Speed, and Consistency. These are the traits that separate “just passing” from real confidence in math. And we want to bring out these traits in your child, without the added stress or complicated theories.
Why Our Logo Symbolises
Accuracy, Speed, and Consistency
Our logo isn’t just a design—it’s a reflection of our philosophy and what we aim to cultivate in every student.
In Singapore’s rigorous education system, math isn’t just about knowing formulas—it’s about applying them accurately, efficiently, and consistently under pressure. Here’s why each of these traits matters:
Accuracy
- The archer aiming at the bullseye represents precision. Just like an archer’s steady aim, your child needs a strong foundation and accuracy in math fundamentals to solve problems effectively.
- Accuracy is essential because even a small mistake can lead to an incorrect answer, costing valuable marks. Singapore’s math exams are designed to test understanding and precision, so being accurate means your child is truly mastering the material rather than just skimming through.
Speed
- The archer’s poised stance captures the essence of speed—being quick yet confident under time constraints. This is a critical skill in math exams and helps build confidence to tackle questions efficiently.
- Speed matters because exams are timed, and students must work through multiple questions within a strict time limit. A student who is well-prepared but slow may still struggle to complete the paper, leaving marks on the table. Building speed allows students to confidently tackle questions without feeling rushed, giving them an edge in timed assessments.
Consistency
- The concentric circles around the bullseye illustrate the importance of repeated, disciplined practice. Consistency in effort turns solving math problems into second nature, helping students perform reliably over time.
- Consistency is what turns strong performances into predictable success. Anyone can have a good day, but being consistent means that your child performs well again and again, not just by luck but by habit. Consistency in math ensures they’re not relying on last-minute cramming or random guessing but rather solid understanding and regular practice.
At MathArchery, we believe that nurturing these three traits—Accuracy, Speed, and Consistency—sets students up for long-term success. Whether it’s acing exams, building a strong math foundation, or boosting confidence, ASC is the bedrock of our approach to teaching.
What Sets MathArchery Apart
Small Batches
Our classes are designed to be small and focused, with a maximum of 5 students. This isn’t just to limit numbers; it’s because we believe in giving each child the individual guidance they need while also letting them feel the motivation and energy that comes from learning with peers. In our experience, this balance makes a difference—it’s where real growth happens.
Mathercises
We also know that practice makes perfect, but only when it’s purposeful. That’s why we have what we call “Mathercises” – after-class exercises that reinforce what’s taught in lessons, helping your child grasp concepts faster and retain them longer. These are not repetitive drills but targeted practices that build speed and accuracy over time.
Beyond Formulas: Shaping Thinkers and Solvers
Our trainers go beyond the textbook. They use proprietary activities to teach problem-solving in a way that feels relevant, practical, and engaging. MathArchery isn’t about producing robots who can follow formulas; we’re here to shape thinkers and solvers, preparing them to face real challenges with confidence.
Parents: Partners in Progress
At the end of the day, we don’t see ourselves as just tutors. We see ourselves as co-partners in your child’s math journey. That’s why we’re committed to giving regular feedback and working closely with parents. We’re here to support your child every step of the way, ensuring they’re not only doing well in school but also building a foundation that lasts.
